Pretasky believes in being proactive rather than reactive when helping his customers. He listens and takes time to understand each client’s story: their current plans, goals, and challenges standing in their way. “When I understand my client’s goals, I can help improve their cash flow, tailor loan structures, and properly advise on financial and operating questions that arise,” he says.

Keeping the Economy and Local Businesses Strong

He loves the La Crosse market. “Having grown up here, it feels like home. People genuinely care about one another and work to keep our local businesses and economy strong,” he says. Work, Play, Repeat

Pretasky brings the same passion to his work at Coulee Bank that he pours into his life outside the bank. He adores spending time with his wife, Meri, and their four children. Their kids are involved in soccer, basketball, dance, and choir, so they are often out supporting each of their children’s performances. They love going to local festivals like Irishfest, Oktoberfest, and Great River Folk Fest. He and his family also like to hike in the summer and ice skate in the winter. And, if time allows, Pretasky tries to sneak in a round of golf now and then.
