Employee Spotlight: Andi Jansen

We are so excited to tell you a little bit more about Business Banking Assistant (BBA), Andi Jansen. She attended college in Mankato. During her senior year, she worked at a small community bank as a Teller. After graduation, she had an opportunity to work as a Teller at a large financial institution and found it wasn’t the best fit. Jansen briefly worked at an insurance company and soon returned to a smaller bank where she worked for five years in private and professional services.

“When my third son was born, I stayed home with my kids for two years and returned to the world of banking,” she says, “when that bank was acquired, I interviewed with Coulee Bank, and I have been here ever since.” Jansen enjoys working at Coulee Bank because of the people. She enjoys both her clients and coworkers, which makes it easy for her to live by Coulee Bank’s motto, doing the right things for our clients and coworkers.

Jansen is efficient and manages her time wisely. “As a BBA, I have to know all aspects of deposits, loans, compliance, and customer service; it’s a little bit of everything!” On top of that, she helps maintain customer relationships.

When she isn’t working, she has a full schedule. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 15 years. All three of her children play lacrosse, so they are traveling to Colorado, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Illinois for tournaments this year. Two of her children play hockey year-round, so there are even more tournaments. If that wasn’t enough, one of her sons plays the piano and competes in American Ninja Warrior.

When Andi isn’t enjoying tournaments and piano recitals, she loves listening to music – all kinds, really. She may take in a few podcasts if it’s true crime (Crime Junkie and Park Predators). She is a breakfast fanatic – even breakfast for dinner! She tries to cook at home, but sometimes she gets in a food rut and doesn’t know what to make, so eating out is a favorite.

While Jansen loves her family and all the fun activities, she hopes that in a few years she’ll have a little time to relax on the weekends, so she can sit on her deck and read a book with her pup, May, who just turned four. “I’m sure I’ll miss all the chaos, but it’s something to look forward to,” she says.

Andi, we wish you much success in your career at Coulee Bank.
