We have an opportunity for a full-time Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team. We are open to this position working out of our La Crosse (WI), Rochester (MN), or St. Paul (MN) office. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make a big impact in our growing organization.

The Credit Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data in order to determine credit risk and assign the appropriate credit rating for new and existing business customers. The credit analyst provides technical and practical problem solving and specialized support services to bank customers and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides consistent superior customer service in a friendly, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Spreads financial statements and assists in the preparation of risk rating analysis of credits with guidance and assistance.
  • Assists in the preparation of loan presentations for new and renewal credit requests in an accurate and timely manner. Loan presentations include summary of requests, financial analysis, collateral coverage analysis, determination of risks, and mitigating factors.
  • Communicates with bank customers when necessary to gather information needed to underwrite credit requests.
  • Accompanies loan officers on business development and client calls, on an as needed basis, to aid in meeting the Bank’s goals for loan and deposit growth on a requested basis.
  • Performs appraisal reviews to substantiate and verify the value, as well as determine if the appraisal/appraiser meets USPAP requirements, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists in completion of regulatory reporting.
  • Acts as liaison with bank regulators, bank senior management, internal and external auditors and operations on a regular basis and as assigned as it relates to the banks financials and regulatory requirements in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Maintains current knowledge of federal and state regulations pertinent to this position.
  • Communicates with other Bank departments to assist in answering questions and resolving issues in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Ensures confidentiality of bank and customer service data.
  • Maintains proficiency in using all applicable software applicable to this position.
  • Act as a project contact as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of related experience as a Credit Analyst
  • Strong analytical skills, and a general understanding of credit and risk analysis, and commercial lending.
  • Prior experience and understanding of personal and/or corporate tax returns preferred.

We have an opportunity for a full-time Universal Teller to join our dynamic team at our La Crosse, Onalaska or new Holmen location. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make a big impact in our growing organization.

The Universal Teller is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers, as well as performing a variety of tasks to support the retail function of the bank, to include:

  • Greeting customers warmly and professionally and assist with questions, problems, and inquiries as they relate to products and services. Explain options and alternatives available to them when opening new checking, savings, CD’s, and money market accounts in an accurate and timely manner utilizing the Coulee Bank systems and procedures.
  • Actively maintain knowledge of bank products and services to ensure depository compliance is being maintained. Process customer requests in accordance with Coulee Bank policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Open retail and business checking and savings accounts for new and existing customers.
  • Order new or replacement ATM and Debit cards at the request of customers.
  • Process Certificate of Deposit and IRA account withdrawals and transfers as requested.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed in an accurate and timely manner, including: Check cashing policy, Drawer Balancing procedures, Reg CC procedures, and preparation of SAR reports.
  • Open, process, and record night deposit and mail transactions.
  • Understand and follow all security and internal control procedures.
  • Accurately batch and scan teller work in an accurate and timely manner to ensure the process is able to be completed in an efficient manner.
  • Prepare daily activity summary for daily deposit. Balance own cash drawer according to Coulee Bank procedures and expectations. Accurately count cash and run coin counter.
  • Perform other customer service as requested, such as helping customers with check orders, updating customer addresses and account records, and processing credit card advances in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Represent Coulee Bank in various community activities in a professional manner.
  • Performs opening and closing duties according to established schedule and procedures.
  • Participate in training programs to ensure knowledge of all pertinent procedure and regulatory requirements to perform all aspects of this position in a competent manner.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of one year of customer service experience. Prior banking experience is preferred, but not required.  We have an opportunity for a full-time Loan Servicing Specialist to join our dynamic team at our La Crosse location. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make a big impact in our growing organization.
The Loan Servicing Specialist participates in the completion of loan data input and file maintenance, report resolutions, transaction processing, problem solving for customer inquiries, loan account balancing, reporting, and submitting funds as directed with various loan types in accordance with established internal standards and external regulations. Loan types may include, but not limited to: default support, tax and insurance, research, payoffs, centralized processing, and/or various areas of payment servicing.  

The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for responding to a variety of questions and inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and thorough manner. This includes:

  • Process loan audits for new loan inputs, updating the Core system as required.
  • Process loan renewals and/or complete renewal audits.
  • Set up new participation loans on Core system.
  • Process payments, advances, and other financial transactions as requested.
  • Process paid loans in an accurate and timely manner and within regulatory requirements.
  • Complete scanning audits on financial and miscellaneous documents received from lenders.
  • Assists loan officers in disbursement of funds for construction notes. This includes obtaining draw requests, reviewing invoices, reviewing lien waivers, making checks, and summarizing all disbursements to date in comparison to original projections in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide back up support to the Secondary Market reporting function, including maintenance of Freddie Mac loan activity, reconciling custodial accounts, settling loan fundings from Freddie Mac, and preparing monthly reporting.
  • Provide back up support to the Commercial Loan Servicing reporting function by filing SBA 1502 reporting, preparing board reports, balancing of general ledger accounts, and processing bankruptcy notices.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of exception reports, investigating and resolving issues in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform escrow distributions for customer taxes, insurance and PMI on occurrence in a timely manner.
  • Perform annual escrow analysis and maintains loan records as needed for payment changes. Mails refunds for account overages as needed.
  • Maintain loan information in computer and paper files in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in training programs to ensure knowledge of all pertinent procedure and regulatory requirements to perform all aspects of this position in a competent manner.
  • Act as a project contact as requested.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two years of prior banking experience, preferably working with customer loans. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve, strong attention to detail, and the aptitude to perform with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
