Kasasa Cash

Kasasa Cash^® is a free, high interest checking account with no minimum balance requirement and no monthly service fee. You choose the amount you keep in your account and we won't charge you for keeping it there.

This account makes everyone's life more convenient. By using your debit card more often and managing most basic banking tasks online each monthly qualification cycle, you get more control over your account.

With our Free Kasasa Cash, we pay 2.55% APY on balances of $0 to $15,000 if you meet the monthly qualifications listed below. Balances above $15,000 receive an interest rate of 0.30% on the portion of the balance above $15,000 if qualifications are met each monthly qualification cycle. In addition, you will receive up to $20 in Domestic ATM fee refunds per month. If you do not qualify for the higher interest rate, a standard 0.10% APY will be applied to the entire balance in your account.

To qualify for the higher interest rate, on a monthly basis you must:

Make at least 10 debit card point-of-sale transactions (excluding ATM transactions).
Receive a monthly electronic statement.
Make one direct deposit or ACH Auto Debit (transaction must be over $1.00).

For Kasasa Cash, the "qualification cycle" starts on the last business day of the month and ends on the second to the last business day of the following month. All purchase transactions need to be posted to your bank account within this time period for you to qualify and receive the e-rate for that month. Coulee Bank is not responsible for when merchants post transactions to your account so please allow adequate time for transactions to post to your account. There will be no exceptions to the requirements for transactions that were made, but have not posted to the account. All requirements must be completed and posted within each "qualification cycle" to be considered a qualifying account and receive the e-rate for that month. Interest is calculated and paid through the last calendar day of the month. Coulee Bank will only accept Kasasa Cash applications from applicants residing in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Here's how they work together: the massive interest and ATM fee refunds from Kasasa Cash are automatically deposited into your Kasasa Saver account. Even better, your Kasasa Saver balance earns high interest; so you can sit back, relax and watch your savings grow.

Balances up to $15,000 in the Kasasa Saver account receive an APY of 1.00% if qualifications in the Kasasa Cash account are met (as outlined above) each monthly qualification cycle. Balances above $15,000 receive an interest rate of 0.30% on the portion of the balance above $15,000 if qualifications in the Kasasa Cash account are met each monthly qualification cycle. If qualifications in the Kasasa Cash account are not met, the APY will be 0.10% on all balances in the Kasasa Saver account.

Your interest rate and APY may change at any time.
For accounts without a Kasasa Saver attached, interest is compounded monthly. Interest will be credited to your account on the last day of each statement cycle. If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the non-cash items (for example, checks).
For accounts with a Kasasa Saver attached, the interest is not compounded. Interest will be automatically transferred to your Kasasa Saver account on next day following the day interest was credited to your Kasasa Cash account.
We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest in your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.
You must deposit $50 to open this account.

We reserve the right to at any time require not less than 7 days notice in writing before any withdrawal. A $25 fee will apply for any account that is closed within 6 months after opening.
